Samsung LN52A650 HDTV Repair
Samsung LN52A650 HDTV being repaired. Not in the picture is the Tech from Professional TV out of Oklahoma City doing the work of desoldering the bad capacitors and soldering in new and better replacements. The board with the bad components has already been removed.
The repairs were successful and the TV is back to working normally! :)

on Oct 29, 2010 4:46:38 pm James said I had experience the same issue 3 days ago... this morning I called Samsung and spoke with a very helpful agent (Emma) who explain that there were a batch of bad Capacitors installed in these sets and Samsung would replace them free of charge to me.
She set up an appointment for an authorized serviceman (Sterling Electronics) to make the repairs.... a few hours later, the same day, the serviceman rang my door bell.
He not only replace the defective Capacitor, he also replace several other Capacitors that may develop the same problem.
I'm a happy Camper, my Samsung is now functioning normally... I commend the professionalism and prompness of both Samsung and Sterling Electronics. -
